About the role As our next Trainer Assessor reporting to the Training Coordinator you will work collaboratively towards achieving and maintaining statutory and organisational compliance as well as delivering high-quality solutions and results to achieve project performance targets. The role is primarily responsible for delivering operational training in simulated and physical environments in accordance with the site training plan to ensure that all persons working on site are authorised, appointed and competent, in order to achieve compliance. Key accountabilities;
Conduct area familiarisations and ensure all new employees and contractors are site inducted and have completed site familiarisations.
Ensure that only qualified personnel perform tasks requiring authorisation and that equipment is used in accordance with its design parameters and correct operating techniques.
Collate and file all necessary training records in accordance with Thiess standards as well as statutory and contractual requirements to ensure the site is not in breach of legislation.
Conduct all training in accordance with the site training plan, legislative requirements, AM Standards and training needs analysis as directed by the Training Coordinator
Adapt training styles to changing operational situations while maintaining consistent work methods across the site.
Initiate full training, training supervision, Recognised Prior Learning's (RPL) and site licenses as directed.
Collect all relevant documentation including generic inductions, RPL and training evidence for site records from new starters and contractors.
Roster 7 days on, 7 days off roster. Day shift only About you To be considered for this role you are required to have;
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Experience as a Trainer Assessor in a mining or other heavy industry environment
Knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 (Qld) including all relevant regulations, guidelines and Australian standards
Knowledge of Nationally Recognised Core Competency packages
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Solid computer and systems capabilities

Have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

Open to change and challenges of working in various camp kitchens
A strong commitment to high standards of customer service, integrity and safety always
Ability to build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to cover shifts from 9am to 9pm or 9pm to 9am as rostered and required
