Job Summary

The Mechanical TA will assist in all necessary daily activities that are associated with servicing of underground mining equipment and above ground drills, including compliance with all relevant operating procedures and policies, work scopes and contract documents. Ideal Candidates will have a history of safe work practices, working with underground mining equipment and a willing to learn attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the Assembling and Maintenance work of Heavy Industrial Parts on Mining Equipment and drills

  • An absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all safety standards and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential.

  • Follow all workshop procedures including equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance.


  • Striping and assembling mining equipment

  • Repair and steel work- welding experience advantageous

  • Re-Assembling of new and reconditioned parts

  • Prepping and painting of parts


  • Local Mackay based role

  • Monday to Friday roster

  • Potential for permanency with the client
