About Mount Archer State School

Mt Archer State School is located close to the Berserker Ranges on the Northern side of Rockhampton. The school has experienced recent enrolment growth and is supported by a dynamic leadership team delivering an innovative improvement agenda that has seen some significant improvements in students' academic results. Currently the school has an enrolment of 668 students with 19% identifying as indigenous students.

Your Role

As the Principal you will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
