Hail Creek mine is a large scale, long-life open cut operation, located about 90 kilometres south-west of Mackay in the northern Bowen Basin mining region of central Queensland. Hail Creek offers an attractive commute rosters out of Mackay, with accommodation in the on-site village boasting modern and comfortable facilities. Reporting to the Training Coordinator, you will play an integral role in the development and implementation of site training programs and systems to maintain compliance to our Health and Safety Management System. Responsibilities include developing, implementing and maintaining onsite training packages, based on site and industry standards and requirements. You will assist in the development and review of Training Needs Analysis for all Maintenance and CHPP employees at Hail Creek mine and be accountable in documenting and maintaining training and assessment records accurately. Understanding the value in quality training packages, and taking pride in developing and continuously improving training delivery onsite is fundamental to the role. An approachable and professional demeanour and the ability to operate under pressure is essential. Your exceptional multitasking skills, coupled with a proactive approach to problem solving will ensure deadlines are met. Utilisation of your communication skills will ensure that mine training is delivered to the required industry standards. You will maintain knowledge of and apply relevant regulations, statutory obligations, company policies and procedures to training plans and resource materials. Previous training experience in a mining, civil or heavy industry will be preferred, combined with experience using training database systems. You will hold appropriate training and operational qualifications, and be highly efficient in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel.
