Service Delivery Specialist Capcoal Surface & Underground Operations

The purpose of the role is to serve as the interface with assigned business units for the purpose of business/ IT strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.

You will be responsible to manage stakeholder relationship and service delivery for commercial and industrial Information Management Services for our Capcoal Surface and Underground Operations and act as a single point of contact on-Site’ for all APAC IM (MTS) technical and operational support matters and solutions.

You will be tasked with and be responsible to:

  • Ensure IT services are delivered according to standard operating procedures and/or agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Focus on customer service, troubleshooting and immediate time-bound response for the end user
  • Escalate complex queries to the relevant regional support organisation
  • Monitor the performance, cost & demand (quality and volume) within the business economic context and approved budgets
  • Analyse mining operational business requirements and advise on opportunities to streamline or automate technical processes and functions
  • Identify service improvement opportunities from data trend analysis and customer need/input
  • Own the IM component of the joiner and leaver process for the site(s)
  • Prepare and distribute IM monthly performance reports
  • Monitor onsite IM contractor resources to ensure alignment with the contract and performance expectations (safety etc.)
  • Ensure effective change management processes are in place for any new infrastructure of system changes at a local level
  • Support and configuration of Mining Dispatch Systems (i.e. Modular Fleet Management)
  • Exposure to the various heavy equipment control and monitoring technology systems (i.e. fuel management, collision avoidance, vehicle telemetry, etc.).
  • Mine Planning system services and support capability
  • Open cut (in-pit) technology services experience, two-way communications, radar systems, meshed networks, etc.)
  • Underground (surface technology and process control interfacing) technology services experience, two-way communications, mobility services, proprietary underground networks, etc.)
  • General infrastructure (server and storage) and cable (fibre) management experience.
  • Production network support and design experience, expanding operational locations.
  • Experience in operational telemetry data collection, BI platform integration.
  • As the successful candidate you will hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing support services within a mine site environment.

    Understanding of the technological trends within the mining and resources environment will be key in bringing solutions to the business unit to enhance our competitive edge.

    You will furthermore have demonstrated experience working within a team to deliver against set targets, experience in driving best practice through your department and into the business.

    This includes the development and implementation of strategy in line with business goals and good interpersonal/negotiation skills to influence and achieve buy in from key stakeholders.
